Synthetic Phonics is a method of learning a language that focuses on letters and vowel sounds.  The process includes one on one tutorials, homework, and group sessions and social events.  

The process: 

Level 1: Letter sounds- 26 letters, 26 sounds.  

Level 2: knowing the sounds and letters

Level 3: letter phonics, more specific and clear, no extra sound

Level 4: introduce short and long vowels

Level 5: Introduce small words and reading, CVC words (consonant/vowel/consonant words)

Level 6: introduce pronunciation of letters G,C depending on position in the word

Level 7: 2 letter blending,decoding, and digraphs

Level 8: Reading and reading comprehension
